About ABLE
ABLE is a charter school where students solve real problems for real people through Human-Centred Design Thinking. Space is limited for grades 7-9.
Imagine Shark Tank and Dragon’s Den—with your child in the room, not just watching.
At ABLE, students don’t just read—they take their ideas into the marketplace.
They build confidence with money, communication, and problem solving—whether they pursue medicine, a profession, trades, the arts, athletics, or become a valued employee.
They learn to manage money, work with people, and build something others value—drawing from their communities, sports, arts, and everyday life.
Each year, your child moves:
- From crowded classrooms → To small classes (~25 students)
- From choosing narrow options → To rotating through hands-on studios
- From assignments on paper → To ideas tested in the marketplace
Opening September 2026, ABLE is a tuition-free public charter school where students don’t wait for life to start—they’re already in it.
ABLE was founded by Dr. Astrid Kuhn—educator, entrepreneur, and former media professional—after seeing capable students graduate without the confidence to actually do.
Less memorizing. More doing.
That’s where confidence grows.
